Originally from a small village in South Yorkshire, Milly now lives in a medium sized village in Berkshire, with the love and support of her partner Jake and Marmalade the cat.
After completing her undergraduate degree in Industrial design at Loughborough University, including a year in industry working as a graphic and packaging designer, Milly went on to study for two years at the renowned National Film and Television School (NFTS), achieving the highest grade for a Masters degree in Production Design.
Most notably, Milly has designed the BAFTA nominated, Royal Television Society and Annie Award winning stop motion animation ‘Night of the Living Dread’. For this, Milly personally won the National Award for Production Design at the Royal Television Society Awards 2022 (post-graduate category).
Other noteworthy work includes; Student BAFTA shortlisted and Jackson Wild winning documentary ‘Stories of You and I’, HollyShorts winning animation ‘Scale’ debuted at Festival de Cannes 2022 in the Semaine de la Critique section, and HollyShorts winning 'The Visit'.
Whilst continually building on her design career, Milly has simultaneously been working as a draughtsperson in major motion pictures including; ‘Enola Holmes’ (2020), The Electrical Life of Louis Wain’ (2021), ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’ (2022), The Flash’ (2023), ‘Empire of Light’ (2022), 'Mickey 7' (2023) and currently, 'Slow Horses' Season 2 (2022).
Milly looks for projects in the same way she looks for design inspiration;
full of character, rich in texture and detail and that which elicits an emotional connection.
